Google Reader gets another shot
September 10, 2006
In the first month of Google Reader’s release, I made a huge mistake.
I subscribed to all of MXNA, Sun Bloggers, and MSDN all via OPML. Translation? I added way too many feeds to my reader. So many, it’d almost crash Firefox—and there was no bulk removal ability.
Today I gave the guys at Reader another shot. They’ve made a lot of improvements.
I added 58 feeds and removed all of the ones I had earlier. The product is still not ready for use—- “Oops… there was a problem, please try back in a few seconds” came out too many times. There’s also little UI quirks that get to be annoying.
The material on the Official Google Reader Blog was very encouraging.
