Good choices! Notepad++ is a standard now. And theres no way I could really function without FireFox, Google Docs, and the Greasemonkey addon.

Might I suggest Google Gears too? All of Google Doc’s supports it as well as some other web apps too. WordPress being one of them.

smash out the red plastic….it’ll make access to the bulb much easier. they have red tape that you can then tape back over the smashed hole.

I’ve used TurboTax for years until I became a tax preparer this year. For simple returns it works well but I noticed on doing a comparison with my return for this year our software caught more deductions.

It is possible that the same options were available in TurboTax that I just didn’t dig deeply enough ( I just ran through it to check the refund)

If you have any education credits I’d watch TurboTax more carefully–that’s where it didn’t get all mine.

good lookin out on the google social search. it’s like a little TMZ app running in the background. quietly collecting your datas.

turbotax is probably the most popular online choice. as you probably know, they bought mint and they supposedly connect in some ways to help you find deductible stuff.

To help non-computer peeps understand the value of a backup, I ask them how they would feel if they lost their computer right now. Any pictures, documents, music you’d be sad to loose? Then just explain the many (easy) ways there are to loose those precious databits.

Nickel Creek is my favorite station on Pandora, next to RJD2. I end up listening to other stuff I never thought I would (ie. Alison Krauss). Great tunes that fit so many occasions.
