Playing Catch Up

Just when I got comfortable with publishing to the web, when I’m ready to take a big step a new direction…another bomb is dropped. For the past hour I have been scouring pages of Software Engineering for Internet Applications to learn the most I can about the web.

“But bofe, internet application engineering is different than publishing on the web?”

Yes, they are very different. I’m beginning to realize that the facets of web publishing (usability, validity of markup, accessibility, aesthetics, and semantics to name a few) are all going to be coupled with internet application engineering. There’s also the likely chance that internet application engineering will have it’s own quirks (choosing the best RDBMS, server-side languages, etc.)

The more you learn the less you know.
